Reeds Spring TCRC Facility
The TCRC's facility includes an Interactive Video Classroom.
The ITV room is equipped with a two-way video unit that allows users to interact with others around the world offering both audio and video communication. The room can accommodate 31 people seated comfortable at seminar tables. A networked computer, printer, fax machine and telephone make this a self-contained classroom. A satellite feed into the room also makes the room available for satellite video conferencing.
The TCRC has a Computer/Satellite Classroom.
The multipurpose computer training and satellite programming classroom serves several purposes: satellite reception; computer training; meeting space for community groups, businesses,
schools and city/county functions. The room is equipped with a ceiling-mounted projector, TV monitors, 16 networked computer stations and satellite downlink systems.
The facility also includes Multimedia Production Suite.
The multimedia production suite has a multimedia computer, CD-RW,color laser printer, color scanner, video camcorder and image digitizer.
A Public Access (Drop In Center) is free of charge to the public.
Five workstations, Pentium III systems, provide access to the World Wide Web-Internet, and the latest Microsoft Office 2000 suite including word processing, web design, photo editing, and spreadsheet software. A Conference Room is provided for community use. The room, 12' x 9', will accomodate up to ten people. The room provides interactive video conferencing, cable television, satellite programming connections.
